Western Union makes it easy for consumers and businesses in Asia Pacific (APAC) to quickly, reliably and conveniently transfer funds, send bill payments, or pre-pay for phone, Internet or credit card services using our proprietary money transfer network. With more than 19 years of experience in the money transfer business within the region, and more than 270 employees working in 17 offices spread across APAC, we are responsible for a network of more than 59,400 Agent locations spanning over 35 countries and territories. Across the APAC region, more than 40 banks and postal institutions are Western Union® Agents.

Our core business in the region includes:

  • Money Transfer in-person for person-to-person and person-to-bank-account money transfers, which enables customers in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore to send money to their bank accounts in the Philippines and Indonesia through the
    Western Union Direct to Bank option;
  • Domestic money transfer (in-country) available in the Philippines and Indonesia;
  • Online Money Transfer for consumers in Australia using their country-issued credit or debit card;
  • The Western Union Gold Card for members of our loyalty and rewards program to enjoy benefits such as free insurance coverage (Continuity of Income program), free phone time, free shopping sprees, free shopping coupons and discounts at participating retail outlets, available in select countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Brunei, Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, and Malaysia.
