BOGOTA, COLOMBIA, MAY XX 2020–Western Union, a leader in cross-border, cross-currency money movement and payments, today announced that Giros y Finanzas will provide home delivery service for Western Union money transfers in select areas of Bogotá, Cali, Medellin and Barranquilla. The service is available for Giros y Finanzas´s enrolled customers only.
The Agents’ home delivery service will enable enrolled customers in select Colombian cities to receive cash from their loved ones, without leaving their homes. As the government implements COVID-19 restrictions on movement to ensure safety of residents, Giros y Finanzas is launching the home delivery money service for receivers, available from Monday to Saturday, 8am to 4pm . Customers can receive up to 800,000 Colombian Pesos (approximately USD200) per transaction.

Service is available in select areas of Bogotá, Cali, Medellin and Barranquilla.
Once the receiver (who has previously enrolled with Giros y Finanzas) gets notified by the sender that the money transfer has been sent to them, the receiver can then contact Giros y Finanzas at the following numbers.

A Giros y Finanzas representative will then verify all related information to process the home delivery.
Once the details are obtained and verified, the courier provider will arrive at the receiver’s residence with the money.
Prior to handing over the money, the courier provider will verify receivers original ID. After successful verification, the courier provider will obtain a signature on the transaction receipt and take a picture handing over the money.
